Microblading
Microblading is another form of cosmetic tattooing; you may see it referred to as Micro-Stroking, Feather Touch, Hair like Strokes, Eyebrow Embroidery and a variety of other terms. Microblading is an Asian method of semi-permanant brows and is a manual, non machine method which is relatively new to the UK.
Microblading is considered to be semi-permanant as it’s compared to the traditional hair stroke machine technique. It is done using a very fine blade (made up of 7-21 tiny fine needles configured in a blade shape) to deposit pigments into the top layers of the skin.
Microblading impacts colour to the top layers of the skins surface, therefore the strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine.
The microblading method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows without it looking overly obvious. The results are very natural looking and leave feathered hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow colour and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into the existing hairs.
People suffering from alopecia or any other condition that causes hair loss, benefit greatly from microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows but do not wish to have overly defined brows.
The results of microblading are; natural, flawless, fuller looking eyebrows. It is crucial to have a top up done as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment from the first treatment.
The results can last anywhere from 9-18 months depending on different factors such as; clients skin type, sun exposure, chemicals contained in creams and beauty products applied to the skin. Some of these chemicals in beauty and skincare products may fade and break down the pigment sooner, so a colour boost may be needed earlier.
